SERVICES

gynecological exams for women and adolescents

Sexually
Transmitted Infection testing and treatment for women and men

Pregnancy
testing and options counseling

Birth
control consultation, education and supplies

HIV testing,
counseling, and education

Mammogram
referrals and follow-up care

Vasectomies
through local surgeon, at the sliding-fee scale cost

Advanced
diagnostic testing and treatment for abnormal pap smears or
mammograms through contract with local and Anchorage medical clinics

Individual
and group counseling on reproductive health care issues,
relationship safety, risk-reduction education, communication and
decision-making skills.
ANNUAL EXAMS
AND MAMMOGRAMS ARE FREE to qualifying women through Alaska's Breast

OUTREACH AND
EDUCATIONAL SERVICES

Sexuality
education/reproductive health classes at local schools and agencies,
including topics of healthy relationships, pregnancy and STI
prevention, consent and coercion, communication skills

Focus groups
for youth development programming, including asset-building and
risk-reduction

Public
forums and presentations on issues of reproductive health:
parent/teen communication, adolescent development, violence
awareness and prevention, healthy sexuality and development, STI/HIV
prevention, breast and cervical health

Door-to-door
and one-to-one outreach to medically underserved and uninsured
individuals, providing information about the Breast and Cervical
Health Check services available at KBFPC

Lending
library with in-depth and current information on adolescent and
women's health issues.
