EDUCATIONAL SERVICES

KBFPC CLINICAL SERVICES

KBFPC is open 9 am - 6 pm daily with appointments with a practitioner available on Wednesdays and Thursdays as well as the occasional Monday or Tuesday.  Occasional expanded hours are available on weekends and evenings.  One or more staff members is usually here on weekend days as well, and will service walk-in clients and answer the phone whenever possible.  Phone messages are checked after hours. 

CLINICAL SERVICES

• Routine gynecological exams for women and adolescents

• Sexually Transmitted Infection testing and treatment for women and men

• HIV testing, counseling, and education

• Mammogram referrals and follow-up care

• Birth control consultation, education and supplies

• Emergency Contraceptive

• Pregnancy testing and options counseling

• Vasectomies through local surgeon, at the sliding-fee scale cost

• Advanced diagnostic testing and treatment for abnormal pap smears or mammograms through contract with local and Anchorage medical clinics

• Individual and group counseling on reproductive health care issues, relationship safety, risk-reduction education, communication and decision-making skills.

• New!  Male only clinics, offering comprehensive male physical exams, starting January 2009.

ANNUAL EXAMS AND MAMMOGRAMS ARE FREE to qualifying women through Alaska's Breast and Cervical Health Check program.  FIND OUT MORE HERE!
